I am feeling stronger all the time

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

It’s been a few days since I have been online. We moved and I have been waiting to get the internet up and running. Frontier finally came today and hopefully Cableone will have our TV hooked up tomorrow. It’s been kind of a night mare moving even though it is just down the street from where we were. First the bus company wouldn’t come down our street to get Rilynn so we have to drive her to the bus stop and then cable and two tv companies told us we were unserviceable. UGH! Finally we seem to be moving along. This house isn’t as nice or new as our last one but we are making due. Darick and the guys put in some extra cabinets for me making it much more user friendly. There wasn’t as much storage as before and then there is trying to stuff a four bedroom amount of stuff into 3. The best part is that it is 3 stories with the laundry on the bottom and the bedrooms on the top :( I’m getting used to it and getting my workouts as well. I started back at crossfit and did my first of many yoga classes today. I am feeling stronger all the time and starting to make this house look like a home.

Crystal is fortunate to have these key players in her fundraising team:

Norma Rose

Norma RoseWorking on Team Crystal is an honor!  She is not only my family member, but also a great person and friend.  She has always been warm and happy and someone that would do anything for anyone in a time of need.  Right now I am working on organizing her upcoming events and encouraging everyone to get involved.  If you would like to hold a local event, please contact me right away!

Jen Uhlenkott

Jen UhlenkottKnowing Crystal has been such a pleasure. She can always bring a smile to my face and those around her. I used to baby sit Crystal and I have always known what a special person she is, she probably taught me a lot more than I ever taught her. With all of her prayer warriors and her unbelievable courage and strength she will “Fight like a Girl” and kick this thing! That is why I am here at team Crystal and working steadily at collecting and organizing for Crystal’s fundraising events. If you have any fun ideas, please let me know!  And when the time comes, make sure to bring big hearts and big donations so that we can all work together to fight for Crystal!

Brandy Chavez

Brandy ChavezFight like a GIRL!  What a statement!  When Crystal told me that was her motto, I instantly knew that I had to step it up, get in her corner, and do what I can.  There is nothing like the power of working together and being on someone’s team.  Supporting Crystal on her team has given me such an inner strength and and I am constantly inspired by her to live life to the fullest and be a better person.  Right now I am working diligently with Matt to spread awareness and rally for donations!  Also, I am working on getting a raffle put together for a smile makeover in Crystal’s honor.  Keep and eye out for it and maybe even change your own life while enhancing Crystal’s!!!

Matt Gustke

Matthew GustkeTime and distance have scattered many of us Cambridge Alumni around the globe, but the power of the internet has managed to keep us all a mouse-click away from each other.  It has been several years since I have seen Crystal in person, but when I heard of her plight–I knew she needed all the help she could get.  I have since donated this website to her cause and am diligently working to leverage the power of the internet as a marketing tool in her fundraising efforts.  If there is something you would like to see on her website, please send it to

If you know of someone (not listed above) that is making a large difference in the fight for Crystal, please let us know at
