My counts were 61. Not where I hoped to be but still down.
My friend Crystal Luna is in town. I love this girl. She is a blast to be around and an awesome friend. We have been trying to spend time together in between my shifts at the restaurant.
It’s interesting to me that now that I have hair people kind of assume that the journey is over. They expect more from you almost. I am glad to be looking and feeling better but I still visualize myself the way I used to look so when I catch a glimpse of myself in passing I am reminded that I’m not the same.

Glad to see that your numbers are lower and your hair is growing back, but most of us know the journey is far from being over. I hope that in each month that passes, you find yourself stronger and healthier–but more importantly, with less cancer.

Glad your count is down but I am sorry it is not where you want it to be. From all the testimony it seems you have some people around you who think you are great. I am rooting for you and hope next time around the count is below what you hoped for.

Sorry to hear that your count is not at the level to where you want it to be, but it seems as if you are making significant strides to regaining your health. Don’t get too frustrated with people expecting more from you, I am sure your family and loved ones have seen your battle with cancer and see the warrior’s spirit in you that will not quit… its tough not to expect more from someone who is such a strong person :)

I saw Matt’s message too. My friend Jen had breast cancer and her hair is in the process of growing back so she gels it in funny shaped spikes and things like that at the moment and it’s very cool!

I hate it when you don’t get the news you want or deserve, I’m sure you must too. But remember when life gives you 100 reasons to cry, show life you have 1000 reasons to smile. On a more ‘less vague’ note, I mean, don’t worry about the counts, just focus on you, and what a strong, beautiful person you are.

Even when you’ve beaten this thing and are considered a survivor, the journey will never be over. However, I think you seem to be taking this journey in stride and will only get better at it. Finding the good in everything. You just give off that vibe.

the first thing I saw was how beautiful you are, even without hair, feeling your weakest. I can’t understand how hard it must be to finally have hair, and be thought of as OK, but know that you’re far from finished. In fact, you’ll never be finished with this. This will always be a part of you…but it will never define you. You are so much more than your illness. You are strong, you are positive, and you are brave.
