Here at helpcrystal.org we are reaching out, spreading awareness and fund raising for our loved one, Crystal Heimgartner.

Crystal is fighting Stage-4 Ovarian Cancer. She has already undergone multiple surgeries and has finished up one set of chemotherapy sessions and went mid-way through another using a more intense ‘cocktail’.  After her last surgery it was discovered that the chemotherapy had not been as successful as expected and the cancer had continued to spread.  Crystal is still very hopeful and has since ventured into alternative/holistic treatment that has been proving beneficial with wonderful new results.  Her cancer cell count dropped drastically after one visit with an alternative medicine doctor; and has continued to lower even more as she adheres to the very strict diet and lifestyle changes!

This great news gives even more inspiration to seek new methods of holistic treatment.   Crystal has been reading Knockout: Interviews with Doctors Who Are Curing Cancer–And How to Prevent Getting It in the First Place by Suzanne Somers, and is hoping her supporters will spend some time reading it as well.   For Crystal, engaging people in the search for alternative medicine is very important.  Unfortunately this option is rarely mentioned when treatment is discussed and could be potentially damaging in the future to the patient.

On average, a series of chemotherapy can run up to $120,000.00 and the anti nausea shots alone can be upwards of $600.00 each!  Holistic medicine too is expensive.  Generally the treatment is billed out in the range of $150.00 – $200.00 per hour!  For some, this would not pose the same imposition as it is for her and her family.

Crystal is 28 years old, has two stunning daughters, and a husband equally as young. They are self-employed and without health insurance.  It is an enormous stress for Crystal and her family to be faced with these mounting medical bills.  This stress can be alleviated if we all join together and do our part in fundraising efforts and donations.
